What is a homunculus?
The homunculus in Fullmetal Alchemist is an artificial human created by an entity called "Father" using the Philosopher's Stone. They were created as tools to carry out the Father's plan.
Each of them bears the name of one of the "seven deadly sins" of mankind, and they look and act just like their namesake.
Homunculus, created using the Philosopher's Stone, which was created in exchange for the lives of many humans, have bodies that are close to immortality. If the Philosopher's Stone, the core of the homunculus, is destroyed, the homunculus will die, but with the power of the father and the Philosopher's Stone, the homunculus can be regenerated with its memories intact.

Arrogance [Pride
He was the first homunculus created by his father and is the leader among homunculus. Its true identity is that of a shadowy being with eyes and mouths all over its body.
Although he is polite in his words, he is arrogant, as his name suggests, and looks down on humans and other homunculus.
Color Greed [Last].
She is the second homunculus created and the only one in female form. She is a beautiful woman with long hair that covers her left eye and wears a dark dress. She carries the Ouroboros sigil, the mark of a homunculus, on her chest.
Like other homunculi, it is ruthless toward humans and can easily take their lives. He is also a skilled strategist, calm and collected, and handles everything from planning to execution by himself, but when he is working with Gratony, he is also in charge of giving directions.
Greed [Greed].
The third homunculus created, he looks like a well-built young man with straight black hair tied back and the emblem of Ouroboros on the back of his left hand. As its name suggests, it desires women, money, status, honor, and everything else in the world.
He left the organization 120 years ago when he could not satisfy his own greed under the Imaginary Lord's father and acted alone.
His character is quite straight-forward, perhaps because of his greed, and he is consistent in not lying. However, because of his greed, he is unable to satisfy his own craving, and a painful side of him can be seen.
Jealousy [Envy].
The fourth homunculus created, it has long hair divided into tufts, an overall well-proportioned, slender, small, neutral or boyish figure, and an ouroboros crest on its left thigh.
He is the most emotional of the seven, sometimes losing his temper when he is called "shorty" and engaging in comical exchanges with Ed and the others, but he is also the most brutal and sly. He has a side that despises humans and loves to see them fight and the look of despair on their faces when they are about to die.
Laziness [Throuth].
The sixth homunculus to be created, it has the appearance of a giant man, more than twice the size of a normal human, with the Ouroboros sigil written behind its right shoulder.
As the name implies, he rarely moves, and his movements are always slow.
Binge Eating [Gratony].
The sixth homunculus created, it has the appearance of a round face with a shaved head, a round nose, eyeballs that are pure white with no black eyes, a round, fat body, and short, thick limbs. The ouroboros crest is on its tongue and is only visible when the tongue is protruded.
He lacks intelligence and rarely makes decisions on his own. When working with Rust, he would ask for her permission to devour humans. is her habitual phrase, and when working with Rust, he devours humans with her permission. True to its name, it is always hungry and can continue eating almost indefinitely.
Rage [Lars].
The seventh homunculus created, he is unique among homunculus in his character and nature. Its true identity is King Bradley, the Grand Patriarch of the Amestris Army, and unlike other homunculus, it is the only homunculus that has no regenerative powers and ages like a normal human. He has the Ouroboros sigil in his left eye under his eye patch.
Combining the combat skills he has developed over 40 years in actual combat as a military officer with his extraordinary dynamic vision, he is able to overwhelm his opponents with his quick attacks.

The homunculi attack the protagonists again and again in an attempt to eliminate them. Each homunculus has its own unique personality and charm, and is deeply involved in the story, sometimes foreshadowing its own existence.
