When we think of summer, Digimonthly Anniversary may be the first thing that comes to mind for some people.

Digimon Memorial Day is called "Odaiba Memorial" by fans because August 1 is the day that the main character Taichi Yagami and his friends decided to venture into the Digital World in "Digimon Adventure," which aired for a year starting in 1999.

At this time of year, many people may make a pilgrimage to Odaiba or Hikarigaoka, where the event was set.

I think it's about time it was recognized by the Anniversary Association.

In this issue, we talk not about Digimon Adventure, but about the ninth in the TV series, Digimon Ghost Game!

It is an interesting series, but so far it has not been made into a disc, and the only way to watch it now is through a distribution service or recorded data.

It's a shame that it hasn't been made into a disc, even though it's interesting.

Characters full of personality

The main characters and the main Digimon match their characters and voices, and I personally feel that the gap in appearance between the main characters and the main Digimon is the most psychotic ever seen in the Digimon series.

The main character, Hiro, is one of the most tone-deaf of all the main characters in the series (so much so that he generates a monstrous radio wave at the level of a certain kid general's singing ability).

The heroine, Ruri (a.k.a. Rirurun), is a young lady but very active, and fans say that she is an authentic heroine, which is rare for Yuu Kobayashi, who plays her.

Hiro's senior, Seijiro Higashi Mitarai (a.k.a. the dorm head), at first seems to be a character like a certain tennis manager Rudolph (the connection between the person in the story = Akira Ishida), a child prodigy who graduated at the top of his class from an American graduate school but decided to attend a Japanese middle school because he loves anime and manga and wants to live in Japan. He is a relatable character, but when he is in a pinch, his partner Jerry Mon scolds him and when he is turned on, he comes into his own, just like a certain lightning breather!

The partner digimon with full of personality, such as Ganmamon, who is innocent and loves chocolate and recognizes that chocolate = the strongest; Angoramon, with the gap between its appearance and voice and its calm atmosphere; and the devilish Jerrymon, who plays tricks on the matron with his naughty words and actions, are also attractive!

The gap between Miyuki Sawashiro's performance as Gammamon and that after the evolution is amazing, so I hope you will feel the charm of Miyuki Sawashiro more through this work!

Personally, I like the character of the matron who actually has geeky hobbies and is always having bad luck. Akira Ishida's performance is absolutely superb!

The direction of Angolamon's concluding the story by reciting a poem is also a must-see! Kazuya Nakai's gentle performance will surely make you melt!

The character design drafts are bad!

The original character drafts were done by Yabu no Tenya, who created the Digimon comic strip in "V-Tamer.

I heard this information at the time, and the unveiling of the new release was at Digifest 2021. I still remember how excited I was when I saw the illustration of the lifted teaser visual.

In the ending, you can see a newly written illustration by Yabu no Tenya! The illustrations are very nice and fit the ending theme!

My personal favorite is "Monster Disco" sung by Sugashicao and Hyada-in, both the song and the illustration are very Gosge-like.

The cast is too good to be true.

The main characters are casted by Mutsushin Tamura, Miyuki Sawashiro, Akira Ishida, Yu Shimamura, Yu Kobayashi, and Kazuya Nakai!

The narration is done by actor Naoto Takenaka, and the tone of the avant and next preview is in keeping with the world of Ghost Game, so you will be on the edge of your seat to see what bizarre phenomena will occur in the next episode!

Daisuke Sakaguchi, Hiroki Takahashi, Masami Kikuchi, and Yumiko Kobayashi also appear as regular characters, and some episodes feature famous voice actors such as Kenichi Suzumura, Tomokazu Sugita, and Shuichi Ikeda as guest characters, so please check the distribution site! Please check the distribution site for more information!

All of the main characters have been cast in previous Digimon anime and games, which is a great thing for fans!

The story is voluminous and interesting!

There are 67 stories in total, basically one complete story, and it is more interesting to watch them over time rather than in one sitting.

Digimon that match the strange phenomena that occur in the story will appear, and Hiro and his friends will join forces to fight to solve the strange phenomena!

The depiction of the characters as they grow with each story, deepening their bond and evolving and powering up with their strong bonds, is just as hot and exciting as in previous Digimon series!

summary

How was it?

Personally, this is one of my top 5 favorite Digimon series.

The characters are unique and the cast is so gorgeous that it is really great. Although it has a horror taste, even those who are not good at horror can enjoy it, so it is one of the Digimon series that I highly recommend you to watch!

I really hope that many people will be able to see the movie.
