For those who love "Nintama Rantaro"
When we think of villains appearing in Ninjutama, the first character that comes to mind is Happosai Hieda, the leader of the Dokutake Ninja Squad.
The big head often causes him to fall over backwards, and his subordinates are often asked to wake him up, and the pattern of him getting his name wrong and being tapped out is a promise.
Happo Hitoshi is also one of the key players in the movie version of "Dokutake Ninja Squad's Strongest Army.
Since this is a serious subject, I am also curious to see what heel side he will show.
If I had to use an analogy, it would be like "Yippatuman," the only serious character in the Time Bokan series, and the only one of the trio of bad guys who triumphed over the good guys.
We have not yet received any new information on the theater version, so we look forward to the next one.
So, in this issue, I would like to explore the charms of Happosai Hieda, who is an enemy but somehow not hateful.

Profile of Happosai Hieda
Here is a brief profile of Happosai Hieda.
Name: Hieda Happosai
Occupation: Head of the Dokutake Ninja Squad, Headmaster of the Dokutake Ninjutsu School
Age: 49 years old
Blood type: A
Zodiac Sign: Aquarius
Area of expertise: various military arts
Weakness: big head
Voice Actor: Shozo Iizuka (1st-30th terms), representative works: "Mobile Suit Gundam" as Ryu Hosei, "Mr. Ajikko" as Yoshio Marui, "The Hero of Majin Wataru" as Doakdar, "Dragon Ball Z" as Nappa, etc.
Yasuhiro Mamiya (30th term-) Representative works: "Pocket Monsters Sun & Moon" as Water Lily's Dad, "JoJo's Bizarre Adventure Stone Ocean" as Vivano Westwood, "The Sky That Spreads! Pretty Cure" as Kabaton, etc.
Happosai is often teased by the good children of Ninja Tama for his name story.
Since the name sounds like the name of a Chinese dish, the name is often used in the play to refer to various Chinese dishes or sparkling wine.
It is also interesting to note that the dish is presented in an amusing manner, with a misstatement causing Happosai's face to become the face of the dish!
This exchange seems similar to the argument between Gintama's Gin-san and Katsura: "Wig" and "It's not a wig, it's Katsura! I feel this exchange is similar to the back-and-forth between Gin-san and Katsura in "Gintama".
Also, a good mistake, calling Prince Hata "Prince Baka" (lol).

Just because it has XX egg in the title. The exchange is deja vu lol.

Also, the "HIROGUSAI SKY! Precure" also has a voice actor connection with the second generation Mamiya's tampering with the wrong name of Kabaton!
About the voice actors
Happo-Sai was played for 30 years by Shozo Iizuka, who played Ryu Hosei in "Mobile Suit Gundam" and Uncle Karl in "Uncle Karl's Flying House," as mentioned above.
He was also one of the starting members of Oshitama.
He was a great voice actor who was awarded the Animation Merit Award at the Tokyo Anime Awards Festival 2022.
Unfortunately, he passed away in February 2023.
On X (formerly Twitter), memorials were posted by Ryutaro Okiayu (who played Isaku Zenpoji) and Shinobu Adachi (who played Mikiemon Tamura), who also co-starred with Shinobu.
I too was filled with a sense of loss at the thought that I would no longer be able to hear the voice that I had grown accustomed to since I was a child.
In 2022, the voice of Happosai will be changed to Yasuhiro Mamiya, and there was an episode that seemed to be a meta statement informing us of this change.
The subtitle "Happosai's Voice Change Dan" was also broadcast, and the play was staged to announce the change of the voice actor in charge of the play, "I have changed my voice this time.
In addition, many people may have been surprised by the change from Iizuka to Mamiya in the smartphone game "Nintama Rantaro Mugen no Tsubo Daibo" when the card of Happosai was implemented.
I think many people felt sad because they were the same starting members as Mr. Takayama and the others.
However, I felt that Mr. Iizuka had received the soul of the character of Happo Hitoshi, who is an enemy but somehow lovable.
Thank you very much, Shozo Iizuka. Yasuhiro Mamiya, please continue to support HIEDA Happosai!
The Secrets of Happo Qi
In the original work, it was not depicted, but in past animationsHappo Qi is a married man and a son-in-law!It was found to be
His wife's name is "Hieda Suika.
Happo Qi, his son-in-law, was unable to disobey his wife's orders due to his position and lived his life at her beck and call.
Happo Qi told the story of how he became tired of his life as a demon wife and took a job at Doktake Castle, in the form of a single job.
I was surprised to learn that the war-loving leader of the Doktake Ninja had a side of him that I never expected: he was adopted by his son-in-law, and he was madly in love with his wife.
He sent a letter to his wife lying about his success in business and was so afraid that the truth would be known that he even consulted Rantaro and his friends.
But his wife was not angry with him, but gently said that she felt Happo Qi's efforts.
I felt that the wife's kindness in accepting Happosai even though he lied to her was a big deal, and I felt that she was indeed the wife of the leader of the Dokutake Ninja Squad.
I mean, there was a scene where his wife was talking in a friendly manner to Yamada Sensei and Doi Sensei, saying to the hostile organization, "If I have children in the future, I want them to attend the Ninjutsu Academy," so she was truly a big deal!
Hieda Saikyo is also not on the scene now, a fact that many may be surprised to learn, especially for the younger generation of fans, who may not be aware of it.
Now that we have more upperclassmen full of personality, if we were to do a story about the devil's wife fiasco, I would like to see a slapstick show involving the upperclassmen as well.

Perhaps my first reaction would be to be astonished that Happo Qi has a beautiful wife, lol.
Especially around the 6th grade lol.
The power of Happo Qi
Happosai is often teased by Shinobi Tama because of his big head, but he is actually a skilled ninja.
Otherwise, I would not have been given the position of head of the Dokutake Ninja.
His ability is said to be almost equal to that of Yamada Sensei at the Ninjutsu Academy.
His weakness, though, is his big head and his inability to get up on his own when he tips over,If you cover your weaknesses by wearing armor to balance yourself or by using the terrain, such as the slope of a hill, you will be able to demonstrate your abilities as a ninja.
Also good at other military arts. And in the past, when he was protected by the Ninjutsu Academy, he once used "Yamabiko no Jutsu" to make everyone at the Academy trust him completely.

Yamabiko's technique is to lie about the existence of an internal conflict, slip into the enemy's inner circle by saying you have been betrayed, etc., work diligently to reassure those around you, and when signaled by your allies, attack inside the enemy, and when signaled again by your allies, return to your allies.
In today's terms, it turns out to be a spy-like art.
There was a scene in the play where you taught ninjutsu to second-year students and thanked them for the easy-to-understand explanations.
Otherwise, we would not have created a school to train dokutake ninja, we would not have excellent subordinates, and we would not be by the lord's side.
It also won third place in the salon's straight hair ranking, and Yuki, Tomomi, and Oshige were surprised about that.
Sure, the hair is silky, but the top of that thing is ...... no comment (-_-;)
Commonalities with Dr. Yamada
I felt that Yamada Sensei and Happo-Sai have a lot in common, so I will list some of them here.
- The first generation was a great voice actor (Dr. Yamada -> Shuo Otsuka, Happo Hitoshi -> Shozo Iizuka)
- hunk
- being posted away from one's family
- Uncle in his late 40s
- I have subordinates I can rely on.
- love of one's students
- He is a good ninja (if you cover his weaknesses, the two of them are almost equal in strength and the best in the work).
- His wife is very beautiful.
- Top ranking for salon straight hair (Happo Saito → 3rd, Dr. Yamada or Denko → 4th)
- Chaos in women's clothing
When I read the fan book again, I feel that the two have more in common than I thought.
Both of them would be good-looking males if they were beautified.
Happo Qi's reputation
In past episodes, according to Mr. Komatsuda, a clerk at the Ninjutsu Academy, he was told that he has the worst reputation among all the Ninjutsu Academy students.
Also,The town's reputation is also that of a "bad guy who likes to fight."and not well received.
He also has a goofy side, so people tend to think he has nothing against them, but he is wary of the Tasogaredoki ninja, who suit the serious air of the Ninja Tama.
Tasogaredoki castle lord Dusk Jinbei appreciates that the presence of Happosai makes Dokutake Castle and the Dokutake Ninja fearsome.
Although he has the reputation of a castle lord, his ability as a ninja is genuine, so the head of the clan, Kunnamon Happo Hitoshi Zodari, has marked him as a person to watch out for.
Happo Saito and Zotosan, key players in the movie version.
However, he is adored by the good children of the Dokutake Ninja's subordinates and the Dokutake Ninjutsu School.
Happo Hitoshi's charisma as a ninja and the size of his character are so genuine that even Rantaro's father fell in love with Happo Hitoshi's charisma and thought about getting a job at Dokutake Castle! The following is a list of the most common problems with the
The mountain buki of Dokutama said that it is good that Principal Happosai has a mischievous side, saying, "Principal Happosai has a cute side, too.
summary
How was it?
In this article, we introduced the fascinating story of Happosai Hieda, one of the key players in the movie version.
He was quite a bad guy when he first appeared and in the movie version, but now he is an unlikable bad guy who is somehow loved by children who don't hate him.
In a past interview article, the first Iizuka also mentioned that it was one of his most important roles, saying, "It's a fun character to play.
I felt that it was Mr. Iizuka's care for Happosai that made him such a character.
I am beginning to feel that such lovable enemy characters are becoming fewer and fewer in today's anime, but I would like to continue to support Happo Hitoshi because he is a lovable villain that has been loved by generations of fans.
But don't overdo the bad thing, lol.
I can't wait to see how it will work in the theater version!
Thank you for your patience to the end.
I mean, who knows "Yippatuman" (laughs)?
